What do we need?
We are seeking a talented Pastry Chef who shares our vision to join us in our BRAND NEW venue – The Charleston, Bakewell.
Due to the location of the venue the successful applicant must have a full UK driving license with reliable access to their own vehicle.
About the job:
- Prepare and bake pastries: Create and bake a variety of pastries and desserts to the highest standards.
- Maintain mise en place: Organise and prepare all ingredients and equipment needed for your section before service.
- Develop dessert menu: Assist in designing and updating the dessert and afternoon tea menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trends.
- Manage your section: Take ownership of the pastry section, keeping it clean, organised, and running smoothly during service.
- Maintain hygiene and safety: Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness practices at all times.
- Assist with special dietary requests: Prepare desserts catering to dietary requirements, such as gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegan options.
- Work with the team: Collaborate with other kitchen departments to ensure smooth service and consistency across the menu.
- Manage time effectively: Work efficiently, ensuring all pastries and desserts are ready for service.
For this role previous experience as a chef is essential with the ability to demonstrate your culinary capabilities.
